Wolf-e Robotics’ participation in the 5th International Infection Prevention & Control Conference was more than a presence at a prestigious international event—it was a genuine meeting of people who believe that technology can save lives when it is used responsibly, with empathy and long-term vision. The conference took place on December 14–15, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza RDC in Riyadh.
For us, this experience took shape through dialogue and commitment, but above all through a shared desire to contribute, step by step, to the transformation of the healthcare system, in alignment with the ambitious goals of Vision 2030. At a time when Saudi Arabia is making strategic investments in patient safety, digitalization, and sustainability, these encounters reaffirmed our belief that technology—when implemented responsibly and adapted to the local context—can become a true pillar of change, protecting lives and building more resilient medical systems for the future.

Day 1 – Technology-driven perspectives on infection prevention
From the very first day, conversations around technology-enabled infection prevention—from AI-assisted surveillance and predictive IPC approaches to antimicrobial resistance—opened a meaningful space for reflection and collaboration. In a global context where 1 in 10 patients worldwide may acquire a healthcare-associated infection, every validated solution, every informed decision, and every constructive dialogue truly matters.
Engaging with healthcare leaders and industry representatives reinforced a fundamental insight: technology is not an objective in itself, but a strategic enabler that must be carefully aligned with local realities, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements. The responsible deployment of UV-C solutions in hospital environments is therefore not only about operational efficiency, but also about trust, safety, and respect for clinical practice. These discussions once again highlighted that lasting impact does not stem from innovation alone, but from the ability to adapt solutions to local priorities, operational practices, and country-specific regulatory frameworks.

Day 2 – Sustainability and global perspectives & infection prevention
The second day of the conference delivered a powerful and deeply human message during the session “Clean, Green, and Resilient: Advancing IPC Through Environmental Hygiene and Sustainability.” It was a clear confirmation that the future of IPC is being shaped at the intersection of science, sustainability, and smart technology.

Dr. Nahla Habiballa’s presentation, based on a clinical study conducted at Prince Sultan Military Medical City, demonstrated the impact of UV-C disinfection in reducing Candida auris in intensive care units—clear evidence that clinical data is the foundation of trust in new solutions.
In turn, Jameela Alsalman and Paula Freeman highlighted the challenges associated with antimicrobial resistance and the need for coordinated, sustainable approaches to environmental hygiene. During the same session, Michael McIntyre emphasized that effective disinfection must always be accompanied by real-time measurement and verification—an essential element for earning clinicians’ trust.
