Recently, on the Wolf-e Robotics blog, we shared the beginning of a new chapter for our company: expansion into international markets and the next step in our global growth journey. Through the MoonShotX program, developed by InnovX together with Raiffeisen Bank Romania, we’ve started connecting with an international ecosystem centered around innovation, investment, and strategic partnerships. This journey also brought Wolf-e Robotics to SelectUSA.
After months of preparation, meetings, and behind-the-scenes work, Washington D.C. became the first destination in this journey, where we participated in the SelectUSA Investment Summit. At the beginning of May, we had the opportunity to represent Wolf-e Robotics at events dedicated to strengthening economic collaboration between Romania and the United States, while stepping directly into one of the most competitive business ecosystems in the world.
Today, we are developing hardware and software solutions for UVC disinfection in hospitals and medical environments, with a strong focus on compliance, traceability, and audit readiness. In practice, we are building technologies that help hospitals monitor and validate air and surface disinfection processes in an automated, transparent, and data-driven way.
For us, as a team developing technology for healthcare and automation, it was incredibly valuable to experience firsthand how one of the world’s most competitive ecosystems for business and innovation actually operates. Everything is built around execution speed, collaboration, and real impact, and this experience once again confirmed how important it is to think globally from the very beginning.

It is impossible to talk about the future of healthcare technology without looking toward the United States, one of the largest and most influential healthcare and medical technology markets in the world. The U.S. generates nearly half of the global medical devices market and continues to invest heavily in automation, robotics, and technologies designed to improve the efficiency of healthcare systems.
The global medical devices market has already surpassed $570 billion and continues to grow rapidly year after year, with the United States remaining the main engine of innovation and investment in this field. At the same time, the U.S. invests more than $4.5 trillion annually in healthcare, making this market one of the most competitive and dynamic ecosystems in the world.
In parallel, the global medical robotics market is expected to exceed $45 billion in the coming years, driven by the acceleration of automation in hospitals, medical logistics, and robot-assisted surgery. More and more healthcare organizations are investing in solutions that reduce operational time, optimize processes, and allow medical professionals to focus more on patient care itself.
The United States represents the first stage of this international development program, and in the coming months we will continue this journey in Austria and the United Kingdom, where we will explore new opportunities for collaboration, investment, and international expansion.
Over the next period, we will continue the discussions initiated in Washington and explore concrete opportunities for piloting, integration, and strategic partnerships in the healthcare and medical technology sectors.
Exhibition Hall: where every state builds its own ecosystem
Between May 3–6, we participated in the SelectUSA Investment Summit, the leading American event dedicated to investments and companies looking to expand into the U.S. market. The summit took place at the Gaylord Convention Center in National Harbor and brought together investors, economic organizations, representatives of the U.S. administration, and innovative companies from around the world.
One of the most fascinating parts of SelectUSA was the Exhibition Hall, a massive area where U.S. states hosted their own booths and showcased their economic ecosystems, priority industries, and the opportunities available for international companies interested in entering the American market.
There, we had the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from U.S. states, economic development organizations, and local partners about what each ecosystem can offer – from infrastructure and industry access to support programs, tax incentives, and assistance for companies going through international expansion.

For us, the summit meant direct meetings with representatives from Maryland, Ohio, Arizona, Montana, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and other U.S. states, alongside potential partners interested in healthcare technology, automation, and innovation. The discussions were highly concrete and focused on real collaboration and development opportunities within the American market.
What impressed us the most was the speed at which things move. Conversations are direct, pragmatic, and strongly oriented toward solutions and execution. People want to test ideas, build quickly, and transform concepts into real projects. This action-oriented energy is constantly present and, in many ways, defines the American ecosystem.
More than networking: conversations about real collaboration. Wolf-e Robotics at SelectUSA.
One of the most important moments of the week was our participation in the “MoonShotX Romania-U.S. Economic Forum”, held at the Willard InterContinental Washington D.C., an official event associated with SelectUSA.
The forum brought together American and Romanian officials, investors, business leaders, and representatives of the innovation ecosystems from both countries.
We had the opportunity to present Wolf-e Robotics and our strategic direction in front of the United States Ambassador to Romania, H.E. Darryl Nirenberg, the Romanian Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Andrei Muraru, as well as investors and representatives of several American economic organizations. It was a context where discussions went beyond formal networking and became real conversations about development, collaboration, and long-term projects.
One of the strongest impressions we took away from the forum was the strong emphasis placed on consistency, discipline, and execution capability — not just on good ideas.

An evening that reflected the future of Romania–U.S. collaboration
The delegation’s agenda also included participation in the official reception hosted at the Residence of the Romanian Ambassador to the United States, under the theme “Forging the Future – Romania-US Resilient Economic Cooperation”.
It was one of those moments when you truly realize how important real bridges between ecosystems are. The discussions focused on partnerships and on how Romanian companies can become increasingly present in international ecosystems. For us, it was yet another confirmation that technology built in Romania can achieve global relevance when supported by vision, hard work, and perseverance.
When you start thinking globally. Wolf-e Robotics at SelectUSA.
Beyond the meetings, events, and presentations, perhaps the most valuable thing we are taking back with us from the United States is the mindset of the people we met. A culture oriented toward progress. People who look for solutions, not excuses. People who genuinely want to build and who believe that meaningful things are achieved through discipline, hard work, and consistent action.
Perhaps the most valuable thing we leave with after these days is exactly this shift in mentality. In an ecosystem built around speed, execution, and the courage to build, you inevitably begin to think bigger. You leave more motivated, more energized, and with the feeling that many things become possible when there is vision, discipline, and people who genuinely want to transform ideas into reality.
For Wolf-e Robotics, this experience represents far more than participation in an international summit – it marks the beginning of a real phase of global validation and expansion. In the coming period, we will continue the conversations started in the United States and explore concrete opportunities for pilots, integrations, and strategic partnerships within healthcare.
Perhaps the most important thing we are taking away from these days is a new perspective. Once you see how quickly things move inside an ecosystem built around execution and the courage to create, you inevitably start thinking bigger and viewing your own potential differently.
Beyond business: the energy of Washington D.C.
Alongside meetings, events, and business discussions, we also wanted to experience the atmosphere of Washington D.C. itself. We attended a concert at Northwest Stadium, one of the largest stadiums in the area, visited remarkable museums such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, and spent a few hours walking through Georgetown.
It was there that we perhaps felt the city’s unique energy the most – quiet streets, abundant greenery, distinctive architecture, people out enjoying coffee or long walks, and a rhythm completely different from the official and often intense atmosphere associated with Washington. It was one of those moments when you slow down a little and begin paying closer attention to the people, the culture, and the atmosphere of the place you are experiencing.
We believe experiences like these add tremendous value to any business trip. They allow you to better understand the energy of a place, the mindset of its people, and the culture behind the ecosystem you are trying to explore.
Perhaps this is one of the most valuable things international experiences can offer: not only contacts or business opportunities, but also the ability to see the world differently, to better understand how other ecosystems think, and to return home with a broader perspective on the things you want to build.
“MoonShotX” & “Rock the Moon” – the courage to keep building
At the ”Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum”, we also reached the “Rock the Moon” exhibition area, and the connection with the “MoonShotX” program immediately came to mind. Not only because of the name or the symbolism associated with the Moon, but because the very idea of a “moonshot” is fundamentally about having the courage to build something that seems impossible before the world is ready to believe in it.
Looking at the history of space exploration, you realize that humanity did not reach the Moon at the moment the Apollo rocket launched. We reached it much earlier — in imagination, in vision, in the conversations of people bold enough to formulate an objective that seemed absurd for their time. Before the technology was mature enough, before the processes were clear, and before success was guaranteed, there was first the ability to think beyond what was considered reasonable. Every great technological achievement begins, in many ways, as an act of collective imagination.
Perhaps this is exactly why the concept of a “moonshot” remains so relevant today, especially in technology. Because many of the things that truly change the world inevitably go through a stage in which they appear exaggerated, premature, or impossible to execute. Every major innovation begins in a space of discomfort — where the market does not yet fully see the need, where resources appear insufficient, and where the direction is felt more intuitively than logically proven. The difference is made by the people who choose to keep building anyway.
Our experience in Washington reminded us that progress does not emerge only from improving what already exists, but especially from the willingness to imagine something that does not yet exist at all. Sometimes, the most important transformations begin precisely in the moment when someone accepts the risk of thinking further than what feels comfortable, logical, or realistic for the present.
Perhaps the true value of a “moonshot” lies not only in the final objective, but in the fact that it forces people to surpass their own limits of thinking. And once an idea large enough begins to be built with genuine commitment, the world around it slowly starts transforming in ways that make the impossible become possible.
