This year, we had the privilege of representing our project, Technology & Innovation for Revolutionizing Disinfection Standards, at the Romanian Healthcare Awards.

About the Romanian Healthcare Awards

Romanian Healthcare Awards is the first and largest international jury competition dedicated to doctors, medical teams and hospitals in Romania. It’s an event that recognizes innovation and excellence in the field of healthcare, and aims to identify and support examples of good practice in the Romanian medical system, individual and team successes.

The 31 jury members from Romania, Bulgaria, France, Moldova, Lithuania, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Denmark evaluated the applications in the 7 categories of this year’s competition (“Medical Team of the Year”, “Hospital of the Year”, “Doctor of the Year”, “Research Project of the Year”, “Medical Innovation of the Year”, “Medical Campaign of the Year”, “Quality of Medical Services and Patient Safety”).

About the Romanian Healthcare Awards 2021 Finalists

In the “Medical Innovation of the Year” category, WOLFE-e ROBOTICS, a 100% Romanian company, received the Diploma of Excellence, with the 2021 research project “WOLF-e ROBOTICS: Technology & Innovation for Revolutionizing Disinfection Standards.” Along with other finalists (CardioMedive, with the project “CardioMedive”, Calitakropolis, with the project “Digital Solution MediQapp Version 5.0 connects personalized E-Health and E-Learning”, XVision, with the project “XVision”), we appreciated the organization of the event on December 10, 2021, held in the beautiful location of Hotel Caro, BallRoom Hall.

About the WOLF-e ROBOTICS research project
Nosocomial or hospital-acquired infections are a significant public health problem, causing morbidity and mortality with a significant economic and human impact, by prolonging hospital stays and increasing costs. We found that in the hospital environment, where UVC disinfection equipment is frequently used, the principles that make the use of this technology 100% efficient are not fully respected, due to the lack of an integrated system that confirms the efficiency of the process in real-time. We started from these premises in the WOLF-e ROBOTICS innovation project.
We deliver a degree of safety in operation, automation, but notably compliance and traceability in air and surface disinfection that traditional techniques cannot accomplish with the products and platform developed by WOLF-e ROBOTICS. The major field of use is in the clinical environment – in Romanian or foreign hospitals (operation room, laboratory, ICU, etc.), with efficacy in every medical sector and department where there is microbial burden. Implementation can also take place at schools, kindergartens, HORECA, or any other place where a large number of people congregate.
The management platform ensures the automation of disinfection routines and complete traceability of the process. Additionally, there is no longer a need to allocate substantial funds for purchasing singular devices for achieving the disinfection goals set by the healthcare facility.

The device is remotely controlled through an intuitive mobile app. The disinfection parameters are automatically selected to achieve the necessary dose for each room, thus eliminating the possibility of insufficient dosage. The mobile app also provides information about the remaining time until the UV-C sources need to be replaced. The mobile app communicates with an administration platform where it records all information about the performed cycles (who performed the disinfection, when it was done, for how long, if it was interrupted, etc.) and displays them on a dashboard for increased visibility and easy performance tracking. The platform can also generate task lists for each member of the cleaning staff and generate activity reports for each person, room, or section, eliminating the need to complete a registry.

Relevant clients / partners in 2021 include the Pediatric Hospital in Pitești, Enayati Medical City, Hospice Casa Speranței, OncoVet, Surgicon, Roche, etc.

 

About Best Practices

Therefore, automation and traceability of indoor air and surface disinfection routines are imperative. An example is the project implemented in 2020-2021 at HOSPICE Casa Speranței, where the hospital conducted analyses of the microaeroflora before and after the installation of the UV-C light disinfection devices manufactured by WOLF-e ROBOTICS. Another relevant example is the project implemented at Enayati Medical City, where various types of WOLF-e ROBOTICS devices are mixed for continuous disinfection of both air and surfaces.

We stay in constant touch with our clients and continuously receive feedback to improve our UVC systems. We offer integrated solutions, starting from product procurement consulting, subscriptions, service maintenance (preventive and corrective), and demo sessions in which we combine practical aspects and then validate the results with certified tests.

Our clients, in turn, perform analyses at independent RENAR-accredited laboratories to see the microbial load. The feedback received is always at an excellent level and certifies the effectiveness of the systems. For example, in the case of HOSPICE Casa Speranței, the feedback was validated with other independently conducted tests, resulting in a disinfection rate of 99.9% after the use of WOLF-e ROBOTICS systems.

 

About the WOLF-e ROBOTICS Integrated Offer and Subscription

To make access to our products as easy as possible in these types of spaces, we have made available to our customers the “Disinfected Air as a Service” subscription – disinfected and clean air, an absolute first in Europe. Any institution or company can rent air purification and filtration devices and thus receive complete benefits: the implementation of prevention and safety measures, the inactivation without ozone generation of 99.9% of viruses/bacteria/fungi in the air, and benefit from 0 investment and predictable costs, with maintenance included – all as simple as possible for users. We also aim to create protocols and participate in Best Practices seminars.

About Pilot Studies – Air and Surface Disinfection Systems

Be a part of the change! In order to educate the market and implement Best Practices in the field of air and surface disinfection, throughout 2022 we will implement the WOLF-e ROBOTICS Pilot Program in different companies and public institutions (mainly in hospitals, universities, schools, kindergartens, ministries, and municipalities). All equipment, training, and testing are provided free of charge by WOLF-e ROBOTICS.
