MEDICA , the largest worldwide medical expo, was attended by Wolf-e Robotics during November 14–17, 2022 in Germany. The Düsseldorf event in 2021 brought together more than 3,000 exhibitors and more than 46,000 specialized medical visitors from 155 countries over an area of 115,000 sqm, which is significant in understanding the scope of this event.
MEDICA Düsseldorf is the place where top medical technology products, laboratory equipment, and all aspects of the medical industry are launched and commercialized. The medical fair takes place once a year and is the highlight of the health industry. Participation in such an event is validated by the organizers on very strict criteria, meaning that not every company can become an exhibitor. This event stands as a standard for potential partners and collaborators in the medical industry and is a guarantee of quality and seriousness in and of itself.
MEDICA also includes conferences, forums, workshops, as well as publications from the medical world. It is also a good opportunity for quality networking. Manufacturers, distributors, integrators, specialized end-users – all form a complete circle that brings maximum value by establishing connections and providing an opportunity to gather all the technological innovations in the field.
For Wolf-e Robotics, these were 4 memorable days – with many visitors to the stand, connected with the global medical world. Everyone was interested in the technology used in the products designed and manufactured in Romania and could find out information about the most powerful air and surface disinfection devices for hospital environments, large business buildings, educational institutions, and public institutions.
Because automation and traceability of air and interior surface disinfection protocols in the healthcare setting are critical, there was a lot of interest. The Wolf-e Robotics team’s autonomous robots, germicidal devices, and monitoring platform are the most efficient, owing to the undeniable strength of UV-C technology.
We were proud to be part of a talented community of UV-C device producers, sharing information about products and innovations, as well as germicidal devices that rely on the integration of AI and mobile applications. We are grateful that UV technology disinfection has become a common topic in many of the discussions held at forums and conferences with renowned speakers in the medical field, as well as with medical technology engineers and developers.
The MEDICA Trade Fair kept us engaged with demonstrations of the effectiveness of UV technology applied to Wolf-e Robotics devices for air and surface disinfection in the medical sector. For the first time, we presented a new autonomous mobile robot that operates on the 222nm wavelength, which is efficient in disinfecting surfaces and air in the presence of people. This approach is much more productive, considering the safety of use and the fact that there are no intermediate times when activity needs to be interrupted to carry out disinfection stages of indoor workspaces.
At Wolf-e Robotics, our role is to integrate the demonstrated germicidal effect of UV-C light with IoT & Software Innovations and create professional disinfection systems. We have created a complete system: starting from the manufacture of products and the integration of technological innovations, autonomous and mobile robots, smart surface and air disinfection systems – we offer the most efficient methods of inactivating all pathogens. In addition, we have created the device management platform, which is the backbone of our manufactured products and is responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, streamlining and automating workflows. Then, we created the mobile application that allows users to visualize and complete the task list they have to perform during their shifts.
The management platform is integrated into Wolf-e Robotics products or can be used on its own and adapted to products the beneficiary may already have in use. The main area of implementation is in the clinical environment – in hospitals in Romania or abroad (operating room, laboratory, ICU, etc.), with efficacy in any medical section and department, where there is microbial load. By extension, implementation can also be done in schools, kindergartens, HORECA, or any space where many people gather/work.
Through our products, platform, and application, we bring a level of safety in operation, automation, but especially compliance and traceability in air and surface disinfection that cannot be achieved through traditional methods.
Wolf-e Robotics’ product range has expanded in 2022 and includes:
- Non-autonomous mobile robots for air and surface disinfection (CoBOT-Ultra, CoBOT-Lite)
- Autonomous mobile UV robots for air and surface disinfection (Wolf BOT)
- Real-time platform for monitoring air quality with Wolf Sense sensors
- Devices for air UVC disinfection (which can be used continuously in the presence of people in medical clinics that specialize in family healthcare, as well as clinics that provide dental care, offices in business buildings, or other similar spaces – Aer, Aer 500+, Breez)
- Germicidal UV appliances placed in the upper part of rooms (Beam – which can be 10 times more effective than forced convection disinfection if the space is well ventilated) that can be used in any medical space, kindergarten classrooms, schools, universities, etc.
