After our experiences in Washington D.C. and Vienna, Wolf-e Robotics’ international journey continued in London, United Kingdom, one of the world’s leading hubs for technology, investment, and business development.
At the beginning of June, we participated in MoonShotX London Orbit, an event hosted at the London Stock Exchange. For us, each stage of this journey represents much more than a business opportunity. It is a chance to better understand new ecosystems, build long-term relationships, and see how technologies developed in Romania can become relevant on a global scale.
If Washington D.C. gave us direct exposure to the American investment ecosystem, and Vienna showed us the strength of European innovation networks, London brought a unique energy of its own. It is one of those cities where ideas move fast, people think globally, and every conversation has the potential to open a new opportunity.
London: Capital & Innovation
Few cities combine technology, finance, entrepreneurship, and innovation as naturally as London. With more than 1,500 startups funded every year and billions of pounds invested in technology, venture capital, and artificial intelligence, the city remains one of the most attractive ecosystems for companies looking to scale internationally.
The atmosphere surrounding the London Stock Exchange reflects exactly that. It is a place where companies discuss the future, and where many of those conversations eventually turn into investments, partnerships, and international projects. For Wolf-e Robotics, participating in London Orbit provided direct access to one of the most competitive and dynamic business ecosystems in the world.
MoonShotX London Orbit: Romanian Technology at the Heart of a Global Innovation Ecosystem
MoonShotX London Orbit brought together Romanian companies, public institutions, international investors, leaders of the British business ecosystem, and representatives of organizations actively contributing to global economic development.
Hosted at the London Stock Exchange, the event provided direct access to discussions around financing, technology, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, energy, and digital transformation. For participating companies, it was a rare opportunity to showcase solutions developed in Romania within an extremely competitive international environment.
For Wolf-e Robotics, it was yet another confirmation that technologies focused on automation, healthcare-associated infection prevention, and smart infrastructure are attracting growing interest worldwide.
Wolf-e Robotics on the London Stock Exchange Stage
One of the highlights of the delegation was the pitch presentation delivered during the pitching session hosted at the London Stock Exchange. In front of an audience of investors, business leaders, and representatives of the UK business ecosystem, Wolf-e Robotics presented its vision for the future of smart infrastructure in hospitals and modern buildings.
We spoke about how technology can help reduce operational risks and create safer environments for patients, healthcare professionals, and building occupants. Experiences like these provide valuable validation, meaningful feedback, and the opportunity to better understand how solutions developed in Romania are perceived in mature international markets.
“For me, one of the most valuable aspects of experiences like this is seeing how the technologies we build in Romania are understood and appreciated in an international context. It’s not just about presentations or meetings. It’s about validating that the problems we are trying to solve are real and relevant everywhere in the world.” – Stefan Toma, CEO & Co-Founder, Wolf-e Robotics

London: Where Innovation Meets Investment
There are few places in the world where innovation and capital come together on a scale comparable to London. Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to hear insights from representatives of the London Stock Exchange, the City of London Corporation, UiPath, Microsoft, investment funds, and organizations actively involved in developing the UK’s innovation ecosystem.
The message was clear: technologies capable of solving real-world problems, delivering measurable impact, and scaling globally continue to attract the attention of investors and international markets.
For a company like Wolf-e Robotics, developing solutions for healthcare, automation, and smart infrastructure, these conversations are an important source of inspiration and perspective.
One idea emerged repeatedly throughout the event: the companies that will make the greatest impact in the years ahead are those that successfully combine technology with the ability to solve meaningful challenges. In healthcare, infrastructure, and automation, the demand for such solutions has never been greater.
Why Healthcare-Associated Infections Are Becoming a Global Priority
Across Europe, more than 4.3 million patients are affected by healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) every year, generating costs estimated in the billions of euros annually.
In the United States, the direct economic impact exceeds USD 28-45 billion per year, and experts estimate that a significant proportion of these cases could be prevented through modern infection-control measures, continuous monitoring, and advanced disinfection technologies.
In this context, UV-C technologies, automation, and intelligent monitoring systems are increasingly being viewed not simply as medical equipment, but as essential components of modern healthcare infrastructure.
At Wolf-e Robotics, we believe the future of hospitals will be built around integrated ecosystems that combine robotics, artificial intelligence, real-time monitoring, and prevention. Creating safer healthcare environments is no longer just a medical objective, it is becoming a strategic priority for healthcare systems worldwide.
Visit to DLA Piper UK: International Expansion Is About More Than Technology
Another valuable moment of the delegation was the session hosted by DLA Piper UK, one of the world’s leading global law firms.
The discussions focused on the real challenges companies face when entering a new market: local regulations, compliance, operational structures, taxation, and long-term growth strategies. For many companies pursuing international expansion, success depends on far more than having a great product or innovative technology. It also requires a deep understanding of the legal and operational framework of each market.
The session provided valuable insights into the UK business environment and the practical steps companies need to take to build a sustainable presence in the United Kingdom.
Beyond the professional aspect, the visit to DLA Piper carried a special meaning. Looking out over London from the firm’s rooftop terrace, in the heart of one of the world’s most important financial centers, we experienced that rare feeling of being exactly where we needed to be at this stage of our journey.
Moments like these remind you why it is worth continuing to build, learn, and look beyond the boundaries of your local market. They also reinforce the belief that growth happens when you are willing to step outside your comfort zone and engage with new ideas, new people, and new opportunities.
Beyond Business: The Energy of London
Some cities impress you with their infrastructure, while others inspire you with their energy. London manages to do both at the same time.
In just a few days, we met founders, investors, representatives of international organizations, and people building companies with global impact. What stays with you after experiences like these is not just the contacts collected or the business cards exchanged. It is the ideas, the conversations, and the new perspective on opportunities that exist beyond the boundaries of a local market.
MoonShotX London Orbit was another important step for Wolf-e Robotics. A step that brought us closer to relevant global ecosystems and reinforced our belief that technology developed in Romania can have a place in the conversations shaping the future of healthcare.
We return home with new ideas, valuable relationships, and an even stronger conviction that Romanian innovation can play an important role in international discussions around healthcare, automation, and smart infrastructure.
And if Washington, Vienna, and London have taught us anything, it is that innovation has no borders. Everything begins with an idea, with people who believe in it, and with the courage to take it further.
We believe that HAI prevention, automation, and smart hospital infrastructure will become some of the most important priorities for modern healthcare systems over the next decade.
